NOTICE: Temporary Relocation of Customs Cashiers – Leroy Trotman Building
Effective Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Customs Cashiers at Customs House – Leroy Trotman Building will be temporarily relocated until further notice.
Please take note of the following important updates
Leroy Trotman Building – Customs House
• The Customs Cashiers will now be located at the West End of the Leroy Trotman Building.
• Only cheque and electronic payments will be accepted at this location.
• Cash payments will NOT be accepted at this location until further notice.
Cash Payments – Alternative Locations
Persons wishing to make customs duty payments in cash may do so at the following locations:
• Bridgetown Port – Shed 2
• Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) – Terminal 11
Note: Individuals making cash payments will be facilitated by Barbados Port Inc. personnel to enter the Bridgetown Port.
Please be guided accordingly.
Please be advised that the Department will close at 1:00 pm with the exclusion of Shed 2, which will close at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, to facilitate a staff meeting.
Cashier services at all locations will close at 12:00 noon. Payments of duties and taxes may still be made via the online payment platform
Normal operations will resume on Friday, August 8, 2025
Passenger Operations at Terminal 1, Grantley Adams International Airport will remain open during this time.

Please be advised that the ASYCUDA system will be temporarily unavailable from 6:00pm on Friday, July 18, 2025, until midnight on Sunday, July 20, 2025. This downtime is necessary to facilitate essential system maintenance and upgrades aimed at improving overall performance and reliability.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage all users to make the necessary arrangements in advance.

The Customs and Excise Department wishes to advise that The Leroy Trotman Building, Customs House will be closed until further notice.
Please note that cashiers at Shed 2 and Terminal II are available for processing payments. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

The Barbados Customs and Excise Department, wishes to inform all Clearing Agents and Importers that there is a new Customs Procedure Code (CPC 893) for the holder of a Foreign Currency Permit. Existing registrants applying for the use of the CPC can submit their request to the ASYCUDA Support Unit, along with their foreign currency permit. Applicants who are NOT registered with Customs are required to do so as well as submit their foreign currency permit.
