Please be informed that the 15% Excise Tax Rebate on new diesel and gasoline fuelled vehicles and the related Additional National Code 837 has been discontinued effective April 1, 2024.
A 15% Excise Tax Rebate has been applied to battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and other alternate-fuelled vehicles as of April 1, 2024.
An Additional National Code 936 has been activated and shall be used ONLY to facilitate processing of vehicles under the new rebate.

Registered warehouse-keepers are informed that the deadline for payment of annual warehouse fees has been extended to February 16, 2024. We urge you to take note of this extension and act accordingly.
Failure to renew the requisite fees will result in the cancellation of your warehouse registration and an automatic suspension from our system.

Importers and Customs Brokers are reminded that they should use the Information Page of the Single Administrative Document (SAD) to provide the location for container examination. If there is a location change, you are required to inform the Customs Officer I(Ag) On-Site Examination Unit by email.

The Barbados Customs and Excise Department wishes to advise all Importers and Clearing Agents that there has been a revision of the rates of overtime payable to public officers. The increased rates of overtime have been effective from April 1, 2023 and April 1, 2024 respectively as shown in the attached schedule.

The Barbados Customs and Excise Department wishes to inform all Customs Brokers and Welcome Stampers that there is a new Customs Procedure Code (CPC 937) for the Barbados Welcome Stamp Programme.
In addition, the following documents are required to be submitted along with the Customs Declaration:
1. Electronic Visa
2. Letter of Approval issued by the Immigration Department
3. Letter of Exemption
Please note the following template addressed to the Comptroller of Customs shall be used by Welcome Stampers or their Clearing Agents to apply for waiver of duties on imported items.
